Are speedos disappearing on European beaches?

Being a swimmer, i like wearing speedos to the beach, in the USA I’m a minority though. In Europe it has been the opposite experience. However on a recent trip i didn't see any dudes wearing speedos. Are they losing popularity in Europe?
