It makes sense to give your kids unisex hair cuts like that until they choose a gender.

Choose a gender? Don't believe that was occurring in my 50's and 60's boyhood.
@purplepoppy politely poppy : you seem to rock a bob or blob, hair, don't ya? ๐๐ That's not an insult ๐

Oh, for the love of God, NO!!!
My dad thought the Beatles in 1964 were long haired hippies

I had a haircut similar to this from the time I got my first haircut in the mid-1950s until I reached high school and was forced to rebel against my dad's conservative tastes.

In 11th grade, I started letting my hair grow out and, by the time I graduated, it was down to my shoulders. I wanted to be a rock star.
@NicholasRedone hi , please vote for my poll

My parents liked me & Iโm so glad they didnโt make me rock a haircut like that.
As for me I had short spiked hair with a buzz cut.
No my mom actually wouldn't let me cut my hair for years.. My grandma used to just give me a trim and cut my bangs.. Until I was 12 I was bugging my dad saying I want to cut my hair so he just grabbed my pony tail and chopped it off lol. My mom was soooo mad but I was happy :D
No, but something just as bad:

when this

was popular.
You look any kid that young today!
Vote for my poll plzz
The Nicholas. The youngest kid who died, but not even the old Bradys have died
sung by the oldest brother who is still doing things, and who lived on my street when we had a street (don't know whether his house burned down but odds are yes)
we spend our days like bright and shiny new dimes
many, many stories behind this show, and Betty Buckley's still around too
https://www.youtube.com/embed/1tincTKPfpwI thought that was Adam Rich.
Nicholas at least this Nicholas used to sport a blob/bob when I was 2-3 and blonde hair cutey me lol ๐ผ lol
Yes, from my late teens into my early 30's mom made me get my hair cut quite close to that all the time until I shaved it off one day and she never made me get it cut, again!!
Thankfully no. I've always sported a proper haircut, save for one time in lockdown when I ended up looking like Kim Jong Un...
Simples...
It wouldn't have been possible... My hair was too curly.
Weirdly enough I actually wanted that hairstyle as a kid.. But no, for obvious reasons it wasn't possible.. LOL..
No, they had me rocking this at 8, looking like I was 30
Never as a child I had very long straight dark hair with a bang
No. If anything my dad would sometimes insist on short "crewcuts", which I learned to hate. I loved having hair as long as I could get away with
When I was a child that haircut would have been totally unacceptable for a boy.
@coachTanthony The first known case of FTM transgender surgery was not until I was around 10 or 12 years old.
Yes!
I had a crew or ivy league cut with gel in the bangs upwards
Oh hell no. One time my dad screwed up while cutting my hair and I ended up with a crew cut
Thank jumpin Jesus and the leprechauns, they did not. They were more sensible than that
I'm trying to think if I saw any lads with that haircut.
Was that from 8 Is Enough?
Could be not sure
Oh my... No, no moptop.
LOL! We were poor, so our haircuts were close to minimize the barber, which, I will add was our dad!
This reminds me of the 60s
No wonder that kid ended up ODing
Happily they didn't.
Oh God no, thank God.
Thankfully not
No thank goodness!
Thats hideous bro 😂
Yep.
They didn't try.
