Girls, When choosing office wear, what is your first choice?

Obviously, when going to the office the first choice among many women today is a pant suit. I know that about 50% or more of my office wear is a pant suit. Sometimes, many women and I wear two piece skirt suits. My mother tells me that this was the absolute first choice 40 to 50 years ago. She specifically mentioned the 1980's. Sometimes, the clothing of choice for the office is a professional looking dress. I was just wondering what is your first choice if work or had to work in an office? We don't have strict rules on dress code but prefer to be business casual in normal days and business formal when meeting with clients.
I myself am a skirt lover, so most of my working outfits are still in skirts. Doesn't have to be in a suit but I wear a lot of pencil skirts, plain color skirts.
I do notice many other girls in my office wearing pants a lot more than before.
