I won't go into details on how, but 10-60 min depending on what I'm getting ready for and most importantly if I can sit my ass down and solely focus on my make up or if I'm getting distracted every other minute.
My partner is Mr. Sloth and I can take all the time in the world because I'll be waiting for him anyways.
Unless Iām going somewhere special I only wear minimal makeup, maybe 10 mins tops
my usual makeup routine goes like this:
- hydrate my skin with moisturizer & my lips with balm. wait a couple minutes so it's well absorbed. sometimes after i will put primer (gel or cream like stuff that you put on your whole face or in certain parts of your face to give extra grip to the makeup and so it lasts longer and has a better finish. i have one to prevent oil build up under my makeup, i own another one that makes pores less visible) and i let it sit 5 minutes.
- after there's mascara (it's essentially a tube of black paste and a little brush that you need to coat in it. you then brush off the excess on the top of the tube and then you carefully coat your lashes twice ish with it. you need to be careful to not overcoat it or create clumps. i usually apply it on the upper lashes and very very lightly on the bottom ones)
- then there's eyebrow makeup (I use eyebrow mascara. same principle as eye mascara. tube of brown and a mini brush. I brush it on my eyebrows to darken and fill them up a bit more. i do this with a light hand)
- after that it's time for foundation (i wet a sponge called a beauty blender, it's like a tear drop shaped sponge. i then apply a bit of foundation on it and i start in the middle of my face. i tap it on gently outwards. i put a bit more foundation on my sponge when i run out. i make sure there's no lines and it blends seemlessly with my face. i usually only cover my forehad, nose, undereyes, chin & smile line areas since i have redness, visible pores or discoloration in those areas, but i can do also the entire face. i usually do this in the daylight so i have the best results. after i wait a couple minutes for it to dry
- then i have to do contour & lock in the makeup. i use finishing powder first, then bronzer, then setting spray (i take a big fluffy brush and i dip it into white translucent powder and i gently apply it to wear there's makeup in circular motions. i then brush off gently the excess once i removed most of the product from the brush. i then use a different brush and then use a very gently hand to put slightly darker than my skin powder on my nose and on my cheekbones, to slightly narrow them. i then use a spray 20cm away from my face to lock in the skin makeup)
- the final step is the lips (i half of the time do this before the setting powder & spray). I use a pencil with a color close to my lips. i overline the bottom & top lip to make it appear fuller, but i'm carefully to not crazy and i follow the natural lip line for most of the upper lip and for the corners. i blend it inwards a bit. i then might apply lipstick or tinted lipbamm all over the lip
i think in general it takes me 20-25m
step by step usaully you start with make up if you use it that day depends what you include or not include why a guy would want to know is odd
I don't wear makeup. Too much of a hassle for me. Plus, my mornings getting ready for work are busy as it is.
I can do it blindfolded, but I only use light make-up most of the time.
