Does anyone else think tattoos look cool and want them, but avoid getting them because so many people have them that they no longer feel unique?

Tattoos shouldn't be about what's cool, or trendy, and it shouldn't matter if others have them.

I have tattoos, but mine are unique to me, because they have meaning to me. I didn't get them to be cool, and I don't show them off. I got them because I wanted them, and they are important to me.

Some people do get them to show them off, or because they want to fit in, but those people usually end up regretting them, because they have no meaning.

If you want to get tattoos, don't worry about what anyone else does, or thinks, but get them for the right reasons, or you may regret it later.

Yes, I totally get that feeling. Tattoos used to feel super edgy and rare, and now they’re almost mainstream accessories 😅
Wanting one but also wanting to feel unique is a real conflict. You can still make it special with placement, style, or a very personal meaning, but if “standing out” is the main goal, skipping them makes sense too.
