Just as much as 22-year-old Scarlett Johansson represents the average American woman. In other words, no. They are like any other talent/beauty-based industry, like modeling, acting, and pop stars: it is a brutal competition and only the best make it (most who try out do not) and even those who "make it" can be forgotten and replaced if something goes wrong.

Compare your favorite teen TV show or soap opera with the people you see in your local Target - the TV show is going to have a much higher average of beauty than Target. That's the difference between any media and real life.

These are extreme examples of people in show business turning themselves into these plastic doll looking faces.

The average Asian chick doesn’t look any more like that than the average American chick looks like Angelina Jolie in her prime.

Well, no. Those pretty Asian girls are more rare than pretty girls in Europe. When you go here in nightclub 30% of girls are bombastic while in Japan it's maybe 5%.
However I'm hetero woman so I think men see it different because I judge appearance of women with different criteria.

they don't, just like most people in the us don't look like brad pitt or sydney sweeney. though east Asians might be closer to that look than westerners because of the much higher importance of looks in their cultures, especially in south korea.

Idols and actors are usually the most photogenic, styled, and often edited versions of beauty in those countries. Everyday people in China, Korea, and Japan have the same variety you see anywhere: some very attractive, most average, some not conventionally cute. Makeup, filters, surgery, and styling also create a big gap between idols and daily reality.

From what I understand Asian countries like Japan, China and South Korea tend to have fairy high and strict beauty standards so while not every woman is gonna look like an idol the average woman in say South Korea will probably look better then the average woman in the US, depending on who you ask.

Most Asians are not attractive in my opinion. The main reason Asian women are liked by others, mainly White men is because they are far less likely to be fat, with tattoos, and are more fair and work as a team in a relationship, unlike the majority of White women that are morally disgusting, lazy, selfish, greedy, and ugly with their tattoos and short unnaturally colored hair.

korean idols are often picked based on their looks. Unlike america, where any ugly douche can become a celebrity. In korea, only the most attractive or talented become celebrities.

No. But I think may of them are attractive. I can often tell which country they are from by subtle differences in their appearance with a pretty good degree of accuracy.
