What does it mean when a girl call you cute, but has a boyfriend

This seems to happen pretty often, I will run into one of my buddies' girlfriends and we will start chatting up and then it will just come out, Like oh your so cute. I know that girls I have been interested have usually not said something like that, so why do my friends girlfriends?

When a girls is dating another guy it means that their clear of the chart. Their just to that guy right. Well she can voice how someone's behavior is cute or someone looks cute. I'll do that to some of my friends when they say something and it's really cute. It doesn't mean they like you. It just means their comfortable enough to say that around you when before they couldn't.
