My thoughts- it's bad for your skin and you should feel comfortable going anywhere with just your natural face.
That being said, I don't think women generally use makeup to "trick" men into thinking they're attractive- that's ridiculous. Sounds like the guy has other issues with women he needs to sort out.
I wear little or no make up on a daily basis simply because I don't like the feel of it on my face, I'm too lazy to spend a lot of time on it, and I like to think I look good just the way I am- freckles, pale skin, and the occasional pimple included.
I often see women who look great with their make up, but it makes me sad for them if they feel they can't go anywhere without it, aren't comfortable being seen without it. They should feel beautiful whether they go out all made up or with a natural bare face.
Sometimes I see women who wear so much make up they're ugly- they wouldn't be if they wore less, but it can look garish. For those women, I wish they could find a balance.
I have no problem with women who wear makeup, I just wish they could still feel attractive without it.

I don't wear foundation anymore as when I did I wore bare minerals which is a light powder(didn't change much at all)
I do wear mascara(not a lot) and I put on lip balm(baby soft lips).
My boyfriend likes it and I don't change drastically or want to trick people. I just like my eyelashes all black(getting them tinted soon) because the tips are blond! And my lips kissable!
I don't mind girls who cake it on. Some look nice and others don't. I don't judge. As long as they are happy. I used to cake it on before I realized less is more for my type of face. And I do cake it on for Halloween! I do porcelain skin for doll make up or crazy effects :)
Don't care.Im sure they have their reasons for...slapping it on.Some people have bad skin, and some just feel like they look better slapping it on.My skin isn't awful, but I slap makeup on and beat my face everyday. And if a guy is "shocked" to see me bare faced, then he can keep it moving if he doesn't like what he sees.
I don't mind it at all as long as when a nervous guy who seems intimidated by her beautified self realizes the reason and as long as she remembers how she looks without makeup before she judges others.

I couldn't care less about what other girls do. If they want to wear tons of stuff on their face then so be it. No hate. I wear make up too pretty much every day but I still look like myself and I do it because I really quite simply like it. I like making a effort with my appearance. We all do little things to make ourselves look better, from going to the gym to rocking a more flattering hair style or coloring our hair. I see make up as no different than that.
honestly, just wear whatever you feel comfortable in. one of my old roommates spent HOURS putting on make up, a sh*t ton of make up, but it looked very natural, like she was wearing very little. the guys didn't know, nor did they care. even if guys say they hate make up, they hate girls who wear a lot or whatever, it's clearly what they're attracted to.
i just put a gentle sunscreen on because I have sensitive skin and no time. if I have 10 minutes during the day I'll put fake lashes on. simple and elegant is best.
I don't care about what other people do..
but personally I don't really wear much, because I don't want to spend hours on that everday, it is bad for your skin, and you don't learn to love and accept yourself if you always look like "someone else"..It's bad for your skin to constantly having it coated with product. Even a tinted moisturizer would be better, and would allow you skin to breathe. So I wouldn't advise wearing that much foundation.
its bad for your skin. I think the ones that do it obsess over nothing. everyone has a few zits and two toned skin
