The Friend Zone and Gender Differences

I saw an interesting video on the friend zone.

It showed a guy friend zoned by three girls he liked. At the end he told one that he can't get together because he has a date. She said "what? How come you never asked me out?"

It made me think. I do think that when a girl friend zoned a guy she usually thinks he is nice but not attracted to him. Sometimes it can change but usually it's that he's not "manly" enough in her eyes for some reason or other be it lack of attraction, personality, you name it.

However I was once friend zoned by a guy. We had made out and he definitely was not treating me as a friend. He would kiss me a lot and flirt w me and call me and make sexual jokes. And then a few days later after a few weeks of being "on the path to a potential relationship" he told me he wants to be friends. Yet a few months later he would once again start flirting w me and tried to get me to come to his place. So in this case I don't think it's a lack of attraction but a lack of desire to commit. This guy is also a commitment phobe who does the hot and cold. He still hits on me and I am sure he would like to get me in bed. He even said he wants to take me. Yeah some friend.

So what do you think? My take away is that sometimes when a guy friend zoned a girl he is sexually attracted to her but doesn't want to make her his only.

No I think anyone whatever sex can be attracted but not want a realtionship. And plenty of gush are not attracted to their friends.

The girl who said why didn't he ask her should have just asked him out when she realized she liked him.

Freindzone is such anon sense term that is subject to change based on whether the user believe in casual sex sex before dating dating Before attraction sets in or other. That it's useless to try to pin point how the different sexes use it. It's simpler just to communicate with whoever you likes and identify whether they want to date or not and if not move on.

Not being attracted isn't zoning anyone it's just not being attracted. Not wanting a commitment is just that. These zones seem to exist to romanticize the fact some epeople just can't have who they want. That's life.

Friendzoning is wanting a persons time, effort and empathy that they were putting toward what they thought was a romantic relationship, but really you just want that without the sex that usually accompanies it.

You got sexzoned. He wanted the level of sexiness you usually put toward a relationship but without the connection and empathy usually accompanying it.

In both cases, the zon-er likes how valuable the zone-ee makes them feel bevause the zone-ee is putting in more than they do for a friendship. The zone-er will tell you its the others fault but its baloney. The zone-ee put in more than they usually would so if it was a balanced frienship it wouldn't be the same

I believe that's called the friend-with-benefits zone.

I had a friend confess her feelings to me. I told her that I really only saw her as a friend and that I could never be with her. She said she understood but she couldn't be my friend anymore, to which I wished all the best and that was that.

I've since made contact with her via facebook. She is happily married and she has kids.

In your case he's just using for sexual pleasure and doesn't view you as relationship material. That's not a friendzone, it's friends with benefits. Friendzone is platonic relationship you mostly with other friends as well.

Friendzone is poorly named but really means the no-sex zone, it means you're not attractive to a person. Guys being sexually attracted to many or most of their friends is not at all uncommon.

(At least to a guy) A friend isn't someone you don't have sex with. Someone you don't want to have sex with is someone you don't have sex with. But someone you don't have sex with can be a friend. Get it?

Ask 10 guys who have been friendzoned (the ACTUAL definition of friend zone) how they'd react if the object of their affection offered them the arrangement this guy offered you, and I'll guarantee you at LEAST 7 of the 10 would JUMP at the opportunity for friends with benefits.

Sounds about right. Men ' friend zone' based on lack of desire to commit, women does it based on lack of attraction (whatever kind of attraction physical or personality, whatever).
