it's happened to me a few times.. that I've been asked for directions by guys and after I explain it to them I say "no problem" and walk away..(normally I'm rushing to lectures).. and then I see them walking in the opposite direction.
one other time.. I was walking home and 3 guys asked me for the nearest station as the one we were right in front of was broken down..i told them it was straight up on the right..a 5 min walk..and then I was about to walk in the opposite direction and they say "what about one in that direction?" (the one I'm walking in) and even after I said its 10 mins away they decide to got that way..
until now I just thought they were a little strange..but I told one of my friends about it and he said its because they were hitting on me...?!?

of course it's an excuse to talk to you. if they wanted to ask for directions they'd ask a MALE person. most girls don't even know how to read maps. why would they ask a FEMALE? your friend was right. they wanted to get in your pants.

Girls are always asking me for directions 'cause they're getting lost in my eyes- haha, I'm sorry,but it was just sooo corny I had to say it.
But seriously, you can usually tell when somebody actually wants directions or wants to talk.

No, they aren't just as likely be able to help as guys and you know that. maybe they try to help, but they will never be able to give a satisfying answer. if I want somebody to explain something to me I better ask a man. that's because I trust in men and their superior skills. believe me, if I want to fly I make sure the pilot is a male pilot. my doctors are male doctors. I would never hire a female lawyer and so on....
sure, if I was gay I'd ask a girl about makeup and stuff like that.
