What's some differences between friendly flirting and romantically interested flirting?

Some people are 'naturallly flirty' but what may be some ways to tell if a guy is a flirt or actually/specifically likes me? In words, gazes, how often or how long ( months of flirtIng), where he touches ( hugs vs hand to hand, elbow etc), how he reacts with others around vs alone.

Gazes, glances, staring - these don't really tell much.

Touches are a huge sign of flirting, and this applies to pretty much any small touch. It's a light and fun way to flirt, good to see how the girls responds to it too.

His interaction with you alone vs with others might be another good way to tell. Sometimes guys are a bit hesitant to flirt with others present.

They're pretty much the same thing. Telling if a guy/girl is interested in you or just messing around is hard enough because it can easily go either way, differing between the two kinds.. ehh. Physical contact is a good sign I guess, the only way to actually tell is to ask him, you can be more obvious with yours I guess but only one way to know.

There's a 3rd option- flirting to have sex. No romance. Probably the most common reason.
