Given your past interaction, assume that he likes you.
Your "thinking what he's thinking" will get you into trouble.
Don't impute motives into him (or others). You may just be wrong.
What do you do? Talk to him. How? You have a basis with the smiles and "Hi"s.
Talk about school. It's safe. Ask him about teachers. After all, he's a junior! :-)
Assume that he likes you; you're assuming that he doesn't, or is neutral.
Either of those assumptions guarantees an outcome: you'll lose him.
Another thing: you're not "freshman" and "junior." You're people.
You develop your own friendship. It is like none other. It's yours, and yours alone.
Aren't your friendships with others individual?

I mean im a senior and dating a freshman or sophmore is easy af cos theyre younger and girls tend to like older guys. Despite populer beleif guys give no fucks on age if your in the same school that relationship is cool lol but you should prolly text him if you haven't texted in a while he might see you as expendable.
