What do you think of a guy who goes to bars alone?

I think that there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Maybe you might want to just be alone, and want some you-time. It doesn't mean that something is wrong, or that you're lonely, depressed, etc. I go out alone a lot, and have fun, too. I go to the movies alone, go to restaurants alone, I even went to a concert alone once =) I go a lot of places alone. Just because I've no one to accompany me, doesn't mean I can't still go. I have friends, and I'm not lonely, but sometimes, it's fun and tranquil to do things alone. So I would think nothing negative about seeing a guy in a bar alone. Hey, that makes you more approachable, too, not being crowded by a lot of other guys and all (pretty intimidating) No worries

I think it`s cool when people go anywhere by themselves.

Especially bars. I know a lot of people who are too embarassed, or too shy to be alone, in a crowded place.

So I think people who are confident enough to do it, are secure with themselves, and I like that. Even if they are just there to unwind, and relax.

i would chat with them if they approached me. I just think it`s really cool.

Well, if he goes to the bar alone, drinks alone, and returns home alone, and he does this on a regular basis, I would suspect he's lonely, and drinking away the reality. Otherwise, I can't say.

There wouldn't be too much drinking, just maybe a light beer or two, and it would be maybe once a week or so.

In that case, who's to criticize? Still, I'd prefer to have some company. But, as ol' what's-his-name said, "Whenever I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself"..Makes sense to me.
