Does a guy sitting at a bar alone look weird?

Everytime I've went to the bar I usually get hit on if I go up to order drinks, but this was always when I was with friends. Anything wrong with going by yourself?

No, it just looks like he had a hard day. I do understand where you are coming from, though. I feel uncomfortable when I walk around by myself; I don't want people to think I'm weird because no one will spend time with me. But I can assure you that I've seen people at the bar alone plenty of times and it's not that weird.

Lol i hope its not weird... I'm a girl sitting at the bar alone tonight. Though I admit I felt odd sitting alone so I moved over to sit in front of the band. After the month I have had I need a drink even if its alone!

@guardian45 @red324 I was approached... some guys hovered near but I think they were too shy too make verbal contact just nods/smiles... It was as if they were playing double dutch and were afraid to make a leap.
Then when I returned to the bar from the band area a guy did speak to me but by that point I was starving and that location didn't offer anything to eat... I wasn't going to continue having another beer on an empty stomach... Anyhow The man who spoke to me mentioned another place down the road that did serve food at that late hour but at just about 1am on an empty stomach I wasn't in the mood to bar hop... Had he spoke to me earlier I would have drove (in my own car) to the other bar.

being a frequent business traveler got me over this fear. Now I can do it no problem. You need to have some "game" to explain why you are alone though.
