What do you think of shop assistants that flirt with customers to sell product?

I know a lot of them are on commission and they have bills etc to pay but can't the flirting be taken to far also.

Any level of flirting from them is fine. There are no limits.

Some flirting to a certain level is fine but there is a line that they should not cross.

They should not be flirting at all, it is unprofessional.

When I worked on commission I flirted because that's what got you to spend more money. My only concern was making the highest amount of sales possible. That's it.

I agree with you some flirting is ok but if you give someone a totally false opinion on liking them or about a product it is wrong. Like flirting to a light level is fine I think

For example if you try a pair of jeans on saying "wow those jeans really suit you, you should buys them" is fine but to say " o my gosh you so have to buy those jeans have you seen how great your ass looks in them, o my gosh and I tottally want it so bad" is out of line for a shop assistant.

I was talking to a woman that said I would be very very rude if I asked a girl out that works in a shop because I would be taking advantage of her niceness she has to provide to customers. This woman told me that even if a female shop assistant flirted with me I would still be being rude if I asked a girl out and I tried to say a shop assistant can't just do whatever they want to sell stuff there are limits but the woman ignored that. IF I am taking advantage asking a girl shop girl out then the girl must be taking advantage of me if she flirts with me just to sell me something. I don't think I am taking advantage anyway

I don't see how asking a girl out is rude. Even if she doesn't want to go out, it's still very flattering to be asked. I agree with what you said, it is much more likely that she's taking advantage of you, rather than the other way around
