Do store clerks ever flirt with you and keep flirting even though you show you don't like it?

Yes some of them are just ehhh no thanks. Had one invite herself over for dinner. Like I bought some meat or something and she was like oh when are you making this? I'll be over what should I bring. At first I laughed but she didn't and was waiting for a response in a way. then I'm like in my head "wtf is she for real 😒😒 I just want my damn groceries!" I've been going to the younger kids who must work after school of lately doesn't seem to be an issue anymore.

I've only had 1 person ever flirt with me (to my knowledge lol, this was very obvious), and she made a comment to me and I wasn't offended or anything, but I was so taken back by it because 1) nobody flirts with me lol and 2) I didn't know how to respond to it. So I just stood there quiet (shock) and I think she was embarrassed afterwards, which I didn't mean to make her feel like, I just literally didn't know what to say.

It sucks because it's not like I can shoo them away or walk off.. And then they usually stay and try to talk and I don't want to be rude or anything so I just talk lightly until they go away. I use to work as a janitor at a corporate office and there was a gay guy who worked in the kitchen who flirted with me. At first he said "Don't mind me saying this but you look handsome" I said thank you because heywhy not? But then he started saying stuff like "you've got a nice tight body" and "your uniform looks yummy on you." lol yeah it was a little too much after that.

If a store clerk makes a smile and gives me a compliment I will be happy even though I know he still wants to sell. But having people stop being flirty to you because someone took it the wrong way and reported you is wrong for the clerk and the customer experience of the thousands of clients he will then greet.
