My coworker came up to me. I was talking to another girl at the company. He said to me "you don't work! You just sit there and look pretty all day. That's what you do."

is is that insult or compliment? Does he like me?

That's an insult. And not one that you say to someone that you fancy. It doesn't even necessarily mean that he thinks you ARE pretty, just that you sit around preening instead of doing any work.

That is usually something you say to someone you don't like very much.

Both. This is a backhanded compliment. He's saying that you talk too much at work (which is the insult), but you look pretty doing it (which is the compliment)! I wouldn't be insulted by this, take it as a joke. :)
