Girl Insists on Trying to be "Just Friends"

I'm having a frustrating issue. I was very specific up front with a girl about not being "just friends" with her. She keeps trying to make me her friend and I don't want that, not with her, not with any girl, it's a very unpleasant experience to me because I almost always want her. This case is no different. The question is, should I just stop talking to her and push her away if she doesn't stop or is she just trying in an odd way to get closer? Odd situation for me. I'd love to hear your answers.

dude stop trying to hard...NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE likes an easy guy or an easy girl...rep your swagger, do your thing, be yourself...being up front is great but not right off the bat...otherwise theyll be confused as to why you like them so much all of the sudden and may get creeped out...show her that you're a good guy, BE CONFIDENT, ask her to hang out, don't just be like hey lets be more than friends...make HER want that..youll know when a girl is head over heals with you...

look bottom line, don't act or seem desperate because it won't attract anyone ok...just be yourself, go out, have fun and show her or whoever that you can have a good time with or without them and they'll want to be around you because theyll see you having a great time all the time...im not sure how much this helped but I hope it does...keep ur head high you'll find someone...dont look at EVERY girl as being more than friends, because ultimately the person you are going to be with is going to be your best friend, remember that

Interesting points. Being coy is not an easy skill, I'm quite direct. I will try to cultivate it. Being easy does take the fun out of it. I never thought that telling her up front I don't want to be "just friends" could be a turn off. That's a good perspective. Platonic girlfriends are a train wreck for me though. I just won't be doing it. Thanks for your advice. It is very helpful.

everyone tries to do the just friends thing it usually doesn't work unless you both want to do it which you have said you don't so tell her I want more than friendship you want only friendship I believe its called and impasse we should break it off

That's what I thought too. I told her I don't do platonic relationships with a girl. I'm super next on this one. Thanks for your advice.

you have to forget her. she's not attracted to you and will never be. nothing will change her mind.

She is trying to be your pal because she probably thinks you're an amazing friend. or she's using you. regardless, I know lots of men in your situation. what you can do is keep your distance, but still keep contact. but if your feelings for her are out of control, then just let her go cold turkey.
