Guy asks for a favor?

There's this guy who asked me for a favor the other day. It's not like it's a big favor or anything, it's the kind of anything anyone would do. But that's the exact thing that kind of confuses me. He could have easily just asked his friends to do it for him, yet he asked me to do it. Does that mean he's interested?
He also seems to be trying to talk to me a lot lately. He asks me really random questions with obvious answers that are out of the blue.

What exactly did he ask you to do? And how did he ask you? Were you in a group and he specifically chose you or was it more like one on one?

It was something pretty basic, and he asked me one on one.

I wouldn't take that to automatically mean that he is interested, but it does seem to be a good indicator. If he asked you one on one he probably had to think about it before hand. Are you interested in him?

Yes I am interested in him, he's a really nice guy. Even my friends have noticed his behavior towards me (they're already starting to ship us LOL)

Go for him. Be straight up and tell him that you have gotten the feeling that he might like you and that you have feelings for him. If you ask him out, he is very likely to say yes :)

Yeah I felt like he was trying to get closer to me, because he keeps coming to me to tell me random stuff XD

Yes, one ploy to gain a persons interest is to ask a favor. That creates an automatic connection and something to build on.
