Flirting at the Campus Library?

Question for the girls. How receptive are you to flirting at the library? It seems to be the place where I am most comfortable (I'm a bit of a geek). I can't stand big parties, bars, night clubs, etc.

Generally, how much do you pay attention to signals from guys at the library? Would you ever make a move on those signals or wait for the guy to?

I have been hit on at the library on more than one occasion and I can not stand it when it happens. (I sit in the designated quiet areas. ) I just want to study or work on my project. I can't work from home nor at coffee shops. This is the only place I can really go to. Sure if you want to drop a compliment or need me to watch your things while you use the restroom or take a call, I have no problem with that. Ill do it. I am also fine if you want to sit at the table I am at if it is a big table, and work on your own thing. But don't try to strike up a conversation with me or I will be forced to dehumanize and insult you. Or make a small scene. Whichever I deem necessary. Which I will only do after softly and politely ask you to go away.

I don't know if I'm speaking for all girls here but I feel like most girls would be. But you have to be active in making a move. Many a time a guy will look intently in my direction, sit in the vicinity and that will be that, as if that is his way of saying "OK, I made my move." It takes more effort than that to make this fish bite. But even worse is when the guy starts talking to you as if you're in a bar. I'm here to study, goddamnit! Try to strike up conversation on a neutral topic, like whatever it is either of you appears to be studying, and see where it goes from there.
