Why do guys super like girls on Tinder?

So I went through my first ever breakup in April/May and since I've had a hard time getting over my ex. Two days ago, I made a Tinder for the first time to try and get out and move on. Even after a few days, talking to other guys has made me feel like moving on is possible.

I've had a few guys "super like" me. Some I wasn't into, but there is one in particular that is super cute. He's really sweet and lives close and we seem to be getting along (I'm not very experienced with guys so I'm hesitant to feel too confident!).

I'm kind of hung up on why he would super like me though? That feature feels so weird to me. I'm just curious what some of the reasons guys use it are? Or girls even! Like I said, I'm new to Tinder so I'm worried the super like means something that I don't get!

I might try tinder soon. Though from the comments it does not sound like it is the best place to meet poeple.

I wouldn't take Tinder seriously at all. Most people use that thing for hookups. They could "super like" you, but they probably "super like" 50 other women at the same time. lol

Maybe if they're blowing a ton of money on it. You get a limited number of super likes though.

And SOME of us are on there to actually find someone. But I agree, guys and girls alike seem to be more interested in hookups (despite their profile saying otherwise).
