How long do you usually have a crush on someone before it wears off?

I'm trying to find out if a guy who answered a Facebook app question about having a crush on me still feels the same, or seeing how I can tell. Thanks for your help!

In my experience it depends on whether you get closure or not. If you're accepted there is a relationship and the issue is moot. If you're rejected you know the feeling isn't mutual, can heal emotionally and move on. If the question is never answered it can last indefinitely.

I had a crush on a girl in grade school and 10 years later I still think about her. I've been wondering lately if I should just let things be or seek her out again and see what happens. Yes I know that sounds stupid but there it is.

i'm not sure there is a set time limit , I hear if your feeling a serious attraction to someone it can almost never wear off and should last for a long while . I mean if someone is your dream girl , you aren't just going to not be attracted to them one day .

but as to your exact situation I'm not really convinced a random guy from Facebook is that into you , doesn't sound like a great lead to me .

It just depends on how big of a crush that it was that I had. I had one at one point in my life ten years ago this June that lasted for quite some time. And by the time I was ready to do something about it, too little, too late. If, IF you think that the person you're crushing on may hold the same feelings for you, act fast.

Thank you. How should I go about it? I've never noticed him acting as though he likes me, but there's an app on Facebook where you can answer questions anonymously about people, and they can find out who asked if they answer enough questions about other people. The question was "Have You Ever Had A Crush On ____ ____?" And it was answered "Yes." I found out who answered it, but I don't know how long ago it was answered, which is why I don't know if I should do something.
