How do I ask the host of a restaurant out?

my family and I go to a restaurant and there is a good looking host working there. once about 4 months ago my friend started a conversation with him and he seems like a sweet guy (then again he's doing his job) but still he seems decent and he's cute IVe been there a lot so I've seen him quite a few times but I never talk to him. he smiles and I smile back (once again he's probably just doing his job ) but I think he's cute and I don't know how to ask him out I just want to give him my number or something. I just don't know how.

I've worked at a same restaurant for 3 years. I mainly bartended and waitressed. But I was a hostess when they needed one. Let's just say that there are a lot of weird people out there. There are many people who try to ask them out and leave their numbers (especially if they're cute). Most of the friends that host or hostess don't take those people seriously even if they're really good looking. So, make sure that you're serious about it and not just some random weirdo (they will talk about you in the back every time you come back. this is from an experience).lol. Make small conversations and ask him where he hangs out with his friends and get to know him a little better before you ask him out on a date (he may ask you after he gets to know you). Good luck!

I understand what you are saying but I figure he will never say anything to me because he doesn't want to lose his job. and I don't know if you can tell me from experience but I've caught him looking at me a lot and hell talk to the girl that works with him and they'll both look at me (and I've never said anything thing to him ... just thank you... )

Not to let you down or anything, I don't know if you could tell that he likes you just by him looking at you. All hosts, servers, bartenders look. To keep up the good service you always have to look. Hosts have to keep coming back to look to see if people got their food, if they're finished, how much longer until they get up, or look just to act like they're doing something...lol. But we do have time to glance at a cute girls/guys. So he may be interested. However, you are right.

-continue- he's never going to make a move on you. He may get fired. So you have to make a move. Make sure you're serious about it. Ask hm if he wants to hang out sometimes... I'm guessing you guys are both under 21? So, no bars..lol. If your family goes there often, you can get to know him by going up t him and making small conversations when your family is enjoying deserts or something. Or, start out by saying.. "I would like to apply for a job", "how old are you? How old do you have to be?"

-and some more- "what do they ask you while they interview you and how did you answer them?". They usually ask you about your personality so.. you'll get to know a little of him by his answers. i would just go for it; maybe ask him if he has any other favorite restaurants (besides this one, of course).if he mentions a few you could suggest that he takes you sometime and shows you what's good

A girl friend of mine did something exactly like this and it worked. Next time you can, go out to the restaurant he works in and bring a friend (and not your family) with you. your friend being with you makes it look like you aren't there for just him and she can tell you if he looks interested. Flirt with him when you come in and see if there is some chemistry. if there is then write your phone number down on a napkin or something. When you leave give him your number and say something like "feel free to call" and smile. when my friend did this she got a call from the guy the next day and they ended up dating for a few months, good luck
