Why do guys pull my hair when they're flirting with me?

Why do random guys like to pull my hair when they're flirting with me? It that a sex thing or do they just like my hair or is it more of a (terrible) conversation starter? What kind of reaction are they trying to get from me or are they just trying to express their interest?

I have long, curly, red hair if that makes a difference. My friends who all have straight brown hair don't get their hair pulled by strangers

I feel like they might like your hair and want to see what it feels like. If they are doing this without your permission, that's odd and you should tell them to stop. I don't think it's a sex thing. Many times people see new hair and want to touch it. It seems to be a universal thing as well, because people have gone to other countries with an uncommon hair type/style and people wanted to touch it.

That would make sense. When I'm in a normal environment (work, Dr., Walking down the street) it's only women who come up to me and touch my hair, and they usually ask if it's natural. But when I'm out at the club, it's mostly guys and they usually do it when I walk past them. I've never had anybody ask if they could touch my hair

He may have thought I was easy the first time we met because I was hanging out with a mutual friend of ours who is a nymphomaniac. He may have assumed I was like my friend, but he knows I'm not now and has backed off his aggressive advances. Now he just stares at me and pulls my hair when I walk past him. I know he's had relationships in the past, but I don't know if he's the player type or committed relationship type. He confuses me. I told him I don't trust him and he just shrugged and said "In time." English is also his second language, so he doesn't talk a whole lot

But it's good to know that anybody who pulls my hair without talking to me first is just trying to get into my pants. I will steer clear of them for sure

Ah... some of this makes sense. I'm not really sure what he is. He told me he wants to get to know me, but I shut him down because of how strong he was coming on, and I've pushed off most of his advances. He likes to pinch my cheeks but always tells me I'm beautiful when he does. He doesn't try to grope me when he hugs me, but has kissed my forehead and cheek when doing so. There's also his bad English that gets in the way (he took a joke I made the wrong way). He's made it blatantly obvious that he likes me, but I just can't tell if he wants something serious or just a fling

He's kind of friends with one of my good friends. From what I've heard, he took his last breakup really hard. He's a bouncer at the club I go to on the weekends. He takes his job very seriously and doesn't hit on any of the other girls. When I drink too much he follows me around to make sure I'm okay, but also gets irritated. I know he doesn't take girls home there because my friend is dating one of the other bouncers there. He's a mechanic during the week. He's 30 and I'm 21. The only time he's said something sexual to me was when I made a comment about how he always has to grope dude because they put him on pat-down duty at the door. My nymphomaniac friend said he hit on her the first time they met, but hasn't tried at all since she rejected him, so I wonder why he keeps coming after me when I did the same thing as her. I asked her, but she said she doesn't know him that much, only a couple months before he started working there, and he doesn't talk a lot with her either. He doesn't seem to talk a lot with anybody and mostly talks in a foreign language on Facebook with his family overseas. He posts old pictures with him and his niece that he hasn't seen since he moved, and he calls her his angel and says he misses her. That makes me think he might want kids, but I can't read the rest to know for sure. I can't tell if he's being secretive or if he's just an introvert. He hasn't asked me on a date or to take me home, so I don't know what his end goal is. Thanks for the advice. I'll make sure he makes his intentions clearer if he wants anything to do with me. I'm not going to sleep with him either way, so I guess he'll give up at some point if that's all he wants. I refuse to be a rebound
