I just graduated high school and I never had a girlfriend. I always though I was ugly and hadn't had much interest in relationships. I got a job as a corrections officer and by the way I'm a country boy and all of my co workers were ghetto and black. This is actually relevant to the story because I wasn't into black girls until this happened to me. Most of my female co workers would constantly ask if I had a girlfriend or if I was single and they were all shocked to find out I've never had one. They would constantly compliment me by saying I was handsome or I was a quote "Chick Magnet" (Literally a women guard at the jail really said that to me). But there was one guard who would non stop over the top flirt with me with the most flattering compliments and she would drop hints she liked me by casually mention going on a date with me. She was attractive but not my type but being that I've never been in a relationship , or had a gorgeous women show attraction to me, I developed the biggest crush on her. And again I'm not being racist but I wasn't into black chicks and the ghetto culture was the polar opposite from life on the farm. Like she had dreadlocks and spoke slang and I typically hated when people did that. But still the mere fact she liked me made me over look that. I know it sounds lame but to be fair that was my first crush.

I've had it happen 3 times.. twice I was not attracted to the girl so it was a no sucked to deliver that message.. the 3rd time I was attracted to the girl but never noticed her really since we did not run with the same crowds. after learning she was into me i decided to give it a shot we dated for 2 years.

Yes I have before in middle school. There was this kind of nerdy, not that attractive, band kid I used to talk to a bit. And I was told (the day before) he was going to confess to me on the last day of school, but I didn't end up coming because I had a doctor's appointment. But the next school year I had the biggest crush on him. 😊

This happens to me all the time. It is almost frustrating because I never know if I truly am into someone or if I only like them because I think it's cool that they like me.
