What does it mean when a guy calls me "punk"?

I've talked to tons of people. There's this one guy that calls me punk over text. We talk and stuff and everything's fine. I've called him cute before and he's called me cute, but never really flirted. He always replies to my texts. He says stuff like "don't whatever me punk 😝" and like "oh okay, goodnight punk" and shiz. I don't know what he means by this. Is this like a way of friendzoning me or the opposite or... I don't know... I'm terrible at guys.
