+1 yIt's hard to compare my attractiveness (especially objectively) to a guy's attractiveness. However, I've been in a situation where I was rejected and I was hit with that petty voice in my head saying that I was better looking than him. Since attractiveness is subjective, that probably wouldn't have seemed that way to some people but I've definitely felt like I was rejected by someone less attractive. Only in that petty and bitter moment after the rejection but I've felt it nevertheless.

Oh yes! Just a couple of months ago I was very much into this guy he is 46 and I’m 31im not a clingy person or a person who’s gonna be bombarding him with messages and I guess he wanted that and then he said I was too young for him. I was so sad for about 2 weeks cause I liked him but oh well c’est la vie!

Men usually like women a lot younger. How come that happened? Oh no.

Yeah, most people in general at that age are looking for a serious relationship that will eventually bud into a loving and romantic one. Coming from man in his 30s, I wouldn't mind a casual relationship or a friends with benefits situation, but naturally I am thinking about the future and I would prefer a long term if not life long relationship. Not so much to settle down, although settling down is probably part of it (move in together, build a strong foundation, possibly marriage and children).
Nothing wrong with short term flings, open relationships, and friends with benefits. When I am in my 40s, if I am not in a loving, close, and loyal relationship with a woman, that is probably going to be my focus. I'm thinking your guy pal was probably hoping for that as you said, and probably thought that younger women who date older men think like you do (don't want to get too close) and it just fed into his confirmation bias.

+1 yYes... I think I have. However, it didn't make my self-esteem less high just because they were less attractive than me and yet were rejecting me. Either way, being rejected is a blow to your self-esteem whether the person is hot or not.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI don't think I have. I mean if I am asking her out then I feel like she is one of the most beautiful women in the world, or at least to me. If anything I feel like I ask out only women who are to pretty for me.
I think if you feel this way after being rejected it is for the better. It shows that you didn't think much about the person if from the start you felt you were better than them. The person probably is better off.01 Reply- +1 y
You have a point here. But some people pursuit someone less attractive because they think it's easier and less likely be rejected. But unattractive people will reject attactibe people. That's why I opened a post here to ask.
Hell yes quitter frequently but I some it up to their loss. Maybe it’s my ego but I usually put most girls beneath me when it come to attractiveness since I am pretty darn handsome lol shame my personality seems to ruin first impressions some times

+1 yYeah, I have, and it's actually a lot more insulting that being rejected by someone who is really hot. Like you don't want to say anything because it would be horribly arrogant, but you kind of just want to ask the person "do you honestly think you can do better than me?"

Probably, if you only weigh a persons attraction by beauty. Makes me curious where I went wrong.
Besides, a person being "less attractive than you" is subjective. Most tend people believe they are gods and goddesses.00 Reply520 opinions shared on Flirting topic. Sure happens to guys all the time...
Especially online...
Have you ever been given interest by someone waaaaay hotter and wonder what the hell is going on hahah... awesome00 ReplyWhat kind of attractive? If you mean physical attractiveness, then yeah, but I have also rejected women who are far better physical specimens than I am. It really does mostly come down to personality, even for hook ups in my opinion.
00 ReplyI suppose. I never feel like I'm really attractive anyway like I know I'm decent but I don't think im like "oh shit!" good looking
