How can I avoid being seen as "easy"?

I don't mean sexually because I am not easy and it's no problem for me not to be promiscuous, but I asked another question about playing hard to get, and my best answerer said that guys hate chases, and they hate girls who are too easy.

For example, on a first (or second) a guy writes a song and says he wrote it just for me, if I said "oh my god, that's so sweet" I would be seen as easy. But see if a guy every played a song for me, I really would think that was sweet and I just know with my tendency to say everything that pops into my mind, I would tell him, thus making me "easy". So how do I avoid that without coming off like a heartless jerk?

First of all. I don't believe that guys hate chases. I'm sure they THINK they hate it, but secretly it is what drives them. They hate it because they have to work harder to get it. But, when they do, they feel like they've won a gold medal at the Olympics.

Saying "that's sweet" to a guy for doing something, well, sweet, for you, doesn't make you seem easy. He will be happy that you appreciate his work. And will want to do it again to impress you. Now, what you do after the fact, is what really matters.

EASY - Start initiating conversations with him. Being the first one to approach him. Calling him at home. Visiting him at home. Asking him when he will write another song. Asking him out on a date. Asking him to hang out with you.

NOT EASY- Keeping your kewl after the sweet stuff. Continue interacting with other ppl, your friends, other guys. Smiling at him when he smiles at you. Waiting for him to call you. Waiting for him to ask you out.

Basically, not making it TOO obvious that you really like him.

As long as you are still friendly and sweet when he talks to you, approaches you, etc. Then you will not come off as a heartless jerk. Just very mysterious. And he will go crazy wondering, Is she interested?or not? what's going on? If he really likes you, he will continue trying to impress you, and do things to make you smile.

All I can say is that if you are being you and someone says "you are easy" dump him and don't look back.

See what I mean--be yourself--if it runs the guy off then he wasn't for you--don't start off by lying, and part of the lie is covering up how you feel about things. The second we start trying to be something we are not to get someone to like us, the second we start stabbing our own selves in the back.

Believe me, there are plenty of guys who just want a girl to be real.

Guys like girls who are hard to get for everyone else, but easy for them. Why wouldn't they, it's very flattering? And easy to everyone or hard to get to everyone doesn't accomplish that.

There's no simple answer like 'guys hate chases' or 'girls who are too easy.' We wouldn't be going around asking these questions if things were that 'easy', would we?

It depends on many things.

But there's nothing 'easy' about saying something is 'sweet'.if it IS sweet! Nobody is going to think you are 'easy' just for saying that when someone writes you a song.That's pretty impressive, no? And sweet as well.

There are always going to be jealous guys who want to put you down, and saying you are 'easy' is such an 'easy' thing to say, and how would you prove they were wrong?

Exactly. It's a cheap insult and you should ignore it. YOU know if it's not true! so don't let it get to you.
