Why won't he hug me anymore?

When my best friend and I were younger he would always hug me he was always so clingy but now nothing I hardly see him he is always so quite around me I always have to ask him to speak up I'm just confused can someone help

There could be several reasons but you should ask him straight out if you really want to know. A few suggested reasons are 1) he has a girlfriend now and she doesn't like it so while he is polite he doesn't do anything he thinks she might not like. 2) you said he used to be really clingy well guys do that when they like someone. He may have liked you for years and then eventually realized it wasn't going to happen and so he got over it. That lessens the want to hug and be overly friendly. Sometimes it completely makes someone stop talking because inside they are a little put off by the whole situation. 3) Maybe you did something that made him see you differently and now he isn't as close to you. 4) People grow apart it happens. Just a few thoughts to put out there.

Something happened where he just doesn't like you enough to hug you anymore. It could be something he personally went through, or something you did.

So if you really want to know, just ask why he doesn't give hugs anymore.
