Would you block your ex's number from you phone?

My ex broke up with me. He blocked my number for 3 wks. Unblocked me and called. Then he blocked my number again for 5 days, then unblocked me. Finally I said "if you truly want me to leave you alone and you really don't ever want to be with me (this is what he said), then why not block my number and keep it blocked?" he said "i shouldn't have to block my phone and emails to be rid of someone".

i disagree. If I truly wanted to move on and did not want my ex, and they kept contacting me, I'd block their number and emails. My question is...do you agree with me (that you would block an ex), or my ex?

it makes me think he wants the communication open even tho he says otherwise. thanks

I don't block numbers, I erase them completely. When people block numbers it's a method of moving on but with a "see you later" type of thing. Talking with you wouldn't do anything because you are broken up, but keeping a number around sometimes means there is still "hope" for being with that person again someday. If someone really wants to move on, then exes numbers should be erased totally. The funniest thing about this is that it's almost the same as the "lets just be friends" thing and then not communicating. This is called easing off slowly, trying to get over you little by little. How did you know your number was blocked unless you tried to call him? How many times did you try to call? And why would you call him for anyway? It may have got to the point of him being annoyed. Think about it. How many times did a guy try to call you and you just ignored him all the time because you weren't interested or you just didn't want to talk to him? Didn't that annoy you what that happened?

If I'd been much in love and it pained me to be reminded of the relationship, I would block her number and cut off all contact, to cauterize the wound, so to speak. It seems like he wants to be able to contact you when he wants, but doesn't want you to contact him. If I were you, I would block him and move on.

My ex blocked my number after a big fight and has kept it blocked now for about 3 months. We live together so it makes it tough cause he can call me whenever he needs something but to him if I need to call it has to be on private. He said he would do it and then said couldn't cause his phone was having trouble with apps. U can still call me on private. Not sure when or if he will.

I don't think you should block him in your case just don't contact him. If he calls you answer and talk to him but don't ever be the one to contact him. I don't know on what terms your relationship ended but if this conversation comes up again he'll look stupid as he's the one contacting you instead of the other way round.

I've never blocked someone because to me, if you're going through all that effort to keep someone out of your life, then deep down, you're not over him. A little bit of you still cares, if you didn't care, it wouldn't make any difference what this person did

I would block him for a few weeks. Then unblock him. Or maybe try to keep all communcations to social networks like facebook.
