What do you notice when you hug someone?

This is mainly for guys, just because they're generally taller. Since I'm on the short side, and I'm a girl, I'd like to know what guys notice/think/see when they hug a girl. Is this still true for a quick hug? Just curious. Thanks :)

AAH! the wonders of hugging. The pleasant art of embracing thou fellow human. No but seriously hugs can be great way to tell how a person feel about you. The things I usually react to is:

Smell, what perfume she's wearing, very important

Wether she's hugging me with one arm (more of a friendly hug)

Or a full, strong and long lasting embrace (thats how I know if she's in to me) ((This may differ from person to person, as some individuals may give long hugs to everyone.))



So the most important thing to remember is: Smell good and hug with both arms!

You can tell how comfortable she is. If she barely hugs you, moves away in a hurry, and just generally gives off the awkward vibe, you can tell that she's either nervous around you or is acting distant for a reason.

But if she's completely chill about everything, squeezes you with her arm(s) a little bit, and seems to have no problem hugging you, then it's a lot more comforting.

I'm 6'3 and I hug friends 5'2 and still smell their hair. You only have to bend your head down a little to catch the smell. Good smelling hair is f***in hot to me. But I'm a hair guy. I won't even go near chicks if they have nappy lookin hair. Imagine what the carpet looks like if they won't even groom the curtains...

i'd say a quick hug you don't gett to notice so much. her perfume and that but little else. if it's going to be a full hug you feel the firmness of her body too and also I believe the firmness the lady hugs you with shows how much she likes/loves you too

Well, I've only hugged twice. Once was quick and was pretty bad, the other lasted a while and was awesome. The first time I was just really nervous, but the second time I noticed how soft she was, and how good she smelled and Idk, she just really made me feel comfortable.

I can tell how confident or caring that person is. My best friend gives me the best hugs and I know she really cares about me but she's engaged so don't get the wrong idea. That ship has sailed without me.

Well, if it's a girl that I'm hugging I'll usually be able to smell their hair and their breast pressed against me. I don't like giving long hug's to guys, it make's me uncomfortable lol.

Of course we notice them, they stick out of a woman's chest and the chest is where the most contact is made. We can't really help it, boobs turned into a sexual organ so we notice them more. Lol, don't you notice when guys have like a buldge in their pants? Because I always feel like girls stare if I get turned on.

You asked me what I noticed and I told you. I try to ingore it if it's a girl I respect and love so you can't say I'm awful with out meeting me first. Don't you judge me :P

Well there's a girl I'm friends with and if we hug I sometimes notice the smell of her hair. It always smells nice. Also sometimes if they really need a hug you can tell cos they hug for longer.

One armed hug? If your arm is around my neck it means less but around my body I might assume more. You say you're shorter though so I might not think anything if your arm was lower.

I've dated latinas standing at 4'10"... the top of their head reaches up to my chin, or so, so it's not that short to me. Depends on the man you're dating. Being 5'8" myself, it's average or short, depending on the location of the world. So I'm not that tall for a girl your height.
