I have a huge crush on my supervisor? is he hitting on me too?

Well he is senior at work he is 22 and I am 19 and I have a huge crush on him... He teases me a lot at work(picks on me so much and sometimes also acts a bit mean) we flirt a lot (nothing physical) and one day he started asking me how old I am and when I told him then he was like ooo you are too young for me and stuff he also asked how many brother and sisters I have and etc one of my colleague got married recently and he was asking her how's the new change and if she is happy and she said it's great and he was like ooo may b I should marry ally (me) and when she said go ahead and he was like I think she is too young for me and he also took a picture of any on his phone when we all went(my department) out for a meal

P.s. he also started acting really rude with me for a few days .e.g he insulted me in front of my colleague :( but now he is back to normal :)...does he like me too?

I started out having a crush on my boss, but it grew into full blown "LOVE".I've known and worked with him for over 7 yrs. I've fallen for him hard. He knows it. I told him straight out over a year ago. Problem is I'm currently married. Couple that with the subordinate issue and I couldn't have a bigger barrier to overcome. We also tease and flirt back and forth, we have for years. He's single.

He's met with me several times to talk, and went to dinner with me shortly after my birthday, always at my request. He giggles around me at times for no reason. He told me he knows that I really do love him, but he "says" he doesn't feel the same. The messages I get from him with regard to body language and the way he interacts with me cancel out what he says. He knows I want to divorce, and said to me that I should focus on that right now. I think he has feelings for me, but is holding back because I'm married.

Any thoughts from those that read this are welcome... I love him so much, and really want something to come of it eventually ...he's so worth waiting it out for.

Is he going to be your supervisor for a really long time? Or are you (and I'm guessing here) only working with him for the current semester?

I'm actually not too sure about school policies on such situations but if in the future, you work in another department/lab/etc will the conflict of interest be resolved?

I had a horrible huge crush on a TA and he's only slightly older than me. He's no longer my TA but I have no idea if that changes anything. You should check your school policy on this.

22 - 19 is really a rather small age difference. I think the bigger issue for him might be the fact that he is in a position of authority. It happened to me once, I started to like this girl, but I was her boss... it was rather uncomfortable, and one starts to check to make sure you're still being professional about her work etc.

Dating a subordinate can be a really bad idea, plus there might be company policies, there's the risk of sexual harassment policies, and the risk that if the relationship goes rot, you still have to see that person every day and work with them.

So, think it out wether you really want to try something with him. And if you do, then make sure to keep things civil, like "hey if it doesn't work we can still be friends and work together".

There is a sureway to find out ! and its unbelieavably cheap, it goes like this: you go near him when u're both leaving work on a friday, and then you ask him out.

If he say's "I'm your boss, it's probably not a good idea, blah blah blah", you'll have to understand and respect that. If he says a flat "no" then bummer.

but he might say "yes"...
