Is it normal to flirt by roasting each other?

This guy and I have been making fun of each other ever since we met. I like our relationship a lot, but I think I might like him. So I just want to know if it might be his way of flirting too. He doesn't make fun of other people like he does to me though.

When I was shy and awkward, girls saw me as creepy. Now I just roast girls and they love me. There’s something about roasting eachother that brings you together. I don’t know what it is or why it’s like that all I know is that now if I act like a savage and just roast people they like me better especially girls.
