How can I know if he is shy, too busy or not interested?

If he's shy he'll try to act not interested which makes this difficult... If he shows you special attention such as staring or is always kinda near you that's an indicator he's just shy, but it doesn't necessarily go the other direction; he could be shy and NOT do these things.

I guess look for his body language. Talk to him, see if he smiles or blushes or acts fidgety or nervous, but in a happy "omg she's TALKING to me!" kind of way. If he just looks bored and gives short answers, he's not interested. Generally, if a guy isn't interested, he'll act more uncomfortable than nervous, if that makes any sense? If he's shy he'll WANT to talk to you but be scared utterly sh*tless, if he's not interested he won't want to talk to you but will be comfortable with himself? Unless he's shy AND not interested...

If he's too busy and isn't shy he'll probably make that clear, or drop hints about how much work he has to do, etc. Personally, this has never been an issue for me cause if I like a girl I'll make time for her! :)

If he seems happy to be around you I'd say you have a good chance. Try to see his facial expression AFTER you talk to him. Does he look back? Does he seem happy with himself when you're gone, or does he suddenly go "dear god I'm so glad I'm away from her"?

Its actually easier for me to show that I'm not interested.

When I know that I'm not into her there is no reason for me to be an asshole to the girl because I know that its going to suck for her when she finds out I don't like her. So I try and be as nice as possible but I try to do it from a distance, like if she gets close to me I'll move back or if she gives me a compliment I'll just say "Thanks" or laugh it off.

When I'm shy around a girl that I think is really hot I'll almost act aloof or try and play hard to get. Again this is only at first and once the ice is broken its good again.

hmmm so you are nice to the girls you don't like but aloof with the ones you do like. Don't you think it would be better to just tell the girl you don't like that you are not interested instead of making her feel there is a potential (by being nice to her) I think that will still spell hard break for her if you do what you say you do.

If he makes an effort to text/call/email/IM or see you then he's definitely interested. All though a lot of guys think acting not too interested and distant shows there interested. I usually end up passing those guys over because if I don't see interest I'm not going to waste my time.

If you are constantly trying to track him down, get a hold of him or see him and he's not offering you a solution or chance to see each other then I would think he's just not interested.

all shy guys are different:) depends what degree of shyness, I'm a shy girl and if I like a guy I sometimes act more confident in front of them to seem not interested, but that's because I'm an idiot, lol. so don't think if he doesn't seem nervous that means he doesn't like you!

Text him and tell him that you are parked in his driveway in the car naked and to text you back if he wants you to come inside. If he wasn't responding before and all of a sudden he is now...he was shy, busy, or not interested.

I can't tell for sure it is kind of hard with shy guys because we are nervous about sharing if we like you because we are scared you won't like us. We like it when girls actually notice us so we don't want to risk asking you out because if you don't feel that way about us it would be awkward after that and being shy I feel awkward enough as it is.
