What does it mean if my crush compliments me?

Me and my crush text and I’ve only met him once in person he’s not far from me. He says I’m a cute waitress and stuff and I tell him he’s cute. Does that mean he’s just complimenting me as a friend, as something more, or because he wants me as his bed buddy? I’m not sure if he compliments other girls so yeah. Guys if you complimented a girl, why would u compliment her and would u ONLY compliments her? Girls you can answer the question to but it is focused mainly on men

Well, yes it is tough to say whether those compliments are simply out of observation and genuine or if they are complimenting you with some ulterior motive or not. One way to know is to see the way he compliments, they type of language he uses. If it has a over friendly or even a slightly flirty tone or touch to it then mostly the compliments are being given with some ulterior motive.

Compliments given on the basis of observation are the ones that are genuine and you can believe them.

Well, I totally dislike hearing compliments and if anyone compliments then I just ignore those compliments but yes I do compliment someone if I get impressed by them or if notice something really appealing about their personality aspect.

Since I never want a woman in my life so whenever I speak to women, I speak properly and if at all I compliment then those are only compliments and nothing more.

Now for myself. If i compliment a girl is cause i want to get to
know her better and possibly start dating. You need to go by
what type of text messages he sends you. You need to go by
how he talks to you , does he seem to keep things for real if any
guy mentions sexual stuff right off the bat in any messages or
even in real person than he needs to be watched that is red flags
it 's good to be complimented but too many could lead to other
things to be said than that could possibly run into red flags?

He’s only made just a tad bit of sexual jokes in the beginning. Now we mostly talk about music (songs and singing)

I’m trying to play hard to get and he doesn’t text me unless the night before he fell asleep and I said GN or unless I text him. It’s only been 5 days and only during one of those days he texted me because I said Gn and he hadn’t responded the night before. Does this mean he’s not interested or does it just mean I have to wait longer for the results to actually surface?
