Why hasn't he made a move yet? All signs point to attraction.

Question

So at work there is this guy (different dept) and for a couple years now we've played the silent/non-verbal game. You know, mutual eye gazing, little smiles here and there, friendly goodbyes or how are you's, looks at me alot, hoovers nearby to hear my conversations, and even repeats why I say sometimes.

He's even come to my meeting room when he never needed to just to listen in. Today when I spoke to his boss about a question I had, he immediately jumped in and "made fun" of me in a joking way.

I feel the attraction between us unless I'm reading him all wrong. I don't see him eye gazing deep in eyes with other females.

So why hasn't he made a move? He does seem kind of shy/timid but very smart.

He's not married and he doesn't have a girlfriend that I know of.

Am I reading him wrong and he's not into me?

If he is into me why not get closer to me and quit the non verbal game?

Well, I don't know if this will help...but I had the same situation going on with a guy at work.  To me, it actually became obvious that he liked me back and he already knew I liked him...he was the one who originally initiated the flirting.  I wondered why he wouldn't ask me out or make a move.  A friend of mine who knows him a little, thought it had to do with work.  The ol 'if things don't work out, then it gets weird' or 'woman cries harassment once you breakup', etc.  Well, some time has passed and I found out from my friend that the guy I like took on a girlfriend (someone not at work), but he never told me and kept on flirting with me as if he was single and interested.  I eventually told him I know he has a girlfriend now and he looked totally embarassed and now we don't really talk, although he comes around from time to time.  So I will never know if it was work or what.  Just something to think about...

do something nice for you, do your nails (you can do it by yourself, I'm not saying it has to be expencive or something like that) or hair, wear sexy underwear , be happy and you'll be confidente. so, when you act like that you won't be as shy and if you ask him to go out , even if he didn't like you before (and from what I've read I'm sure he likes you) he will want to go out with you because you'll be pretty, fun , confidente and outgoing - everyone like that

I think you could make excuses to ask for help from him at work. I found that guys who like the girl would try very hard to help her and then you have a perfect excuse to thank him back with a dinner or something fun. Just hangout and get him loose, he's eventually do something...

In all reality he's either shy, has a girlfriend, just got out of a relationship, or just isn't into you. Either way, you probably don't know. So you gotta go in for the kill, you gotta make the moves for it to work. For things like these, you really have nothing to lose so just go for it.

As much as he loves you he is terrified that you may reject him or it may destroy the kind of relation ship that you have kind of established.Therefore he plays it safe.May you should take the game to him other than living in uncertainty invite him to dinner at home or  cinema.That could give you time enough for both of you to be together a lone if he doesn't speak out his mind to take it bad, keep the friendship but don't have hopes on him .

Not an easy question, maybe he is shy, and don't really know how to get closer. That's actually not too rare among guys. Maybe you should try asking him, if you really think he's into you, maybe you should try to get closer him, or somehow make it easier for him to aproach you.
