Why hasn't he made a move?

I'm so confused, me and this guy have been on 3 dates and he still has not made a move! He hasn't even held my hand!..He seems interested he calls ALL the time, compliments me, etc. I don't know I guess I'm not use to this, guys normally try on the first date. So I'm curious what a guys intake would be? Why wouldn't you make a move?

Well, there could be a lot of reasons as to why he's acting this way.

1. He could still be trying to work out his feelings for you. After all, you just met not too long ago. If there's a girl you really like, sometimes it is best not to rush things, perhaps he doesn't know if you're on the same page as he is feelings wise. He could be playing it safe.

2. He could be shy. Some guys just aren't comfortable making a move.

3. He could be an old-fashioned gentleman type who doesn't want to appear too forward or pushy. A lot of girls are on high alert when it comes to guys who are too touchy early on. Out of respect for you, he might be playing it safe.

4. He could be the physically cold type. Some guys, due to the way they were brought up or from suffering abuse prior in life, or due to a host of other factors, just aren't the touchy feely types.

Have you tried holding his hand? He may need a little encouragement. A lot of parents don't teach their sons how to show a woman both interest and respect. It is essential that he display both. As you guys are new together, I wouldn't worry about it early on. Give him some time and also don't be afraid to touch him gently from time to time.

5. Sexually inexperienced. He might be reluctant to make a move if he doesn't have much physical experience.

Yeah it seems to me like you're playing his game. he's probably thinking the same thing as you. Why hasn't she made a move? Be more flirty and encourage him to be more touchy and confident. He's second guessing himself and having a lot of doubts right now. So just give him the confidence booster he needs, eventually he'll come around.

Out of respect to you he might not do it. Also he might be shy and doesn't want to do anything physical with you yet until he gets to know your heart first or who you are. Once he knows who you are, he will make a move or might never make one until you do it first if he is shy.

He probably wants to get to know you as a person first before getting to know your body - and that is definitely a good thing, especially if his interest level is there and consistent (and by the sounds of things, it is).
