Have you ever been catfished by men with hot profile pictures?

Question

I think we all know that many social media networks are used as dating sites or hookup sites on the side. Those who are looking to date or hookup are highly likely to end up being catfished though.

There is no shortage of men catfishing on social media networks, with pictures of hunky men with abs. A lot of women flock to such profiles, especially relatively older women who may not be getting enough attention outside of social media networks.

What about you though? Have you ever been catfished by men with hot profile pictures?

It’s actually the opposite. My cousin was chatting with a guy and he sent a pic of him, then when she did a reverse good image, we ( I was with her during that time) found out that his face was linked to some model images. And he then told her that he was a part time male model, but that he couldn’t send her an immediate pic cause he doesn’t feel well. We ofc immediately thought that he was a catfish but the day after, he called her in a video chat and he talked to us and OMG it was actually him. They both planned to meet in a few weeks, and he came to the date looking exactly like the pic he sent. Now mind you that my cousin is self conscious about her look and she always thought that she’s ugly just because she’s a little bit overweight , so the other reason why we thought he was trolling us was when he told her that she’s totally his type and it turned out to be true cause it’s been a year that these two lovebirds are dating. Thank God we didn’t immediately deleted his profil when we thought that he was a catfish.

Back when I was naive and fairly new to the internet (early 2000s) yeah I got catfished by a guy I used to like. He sent a picture of himself- well of course I thought, "This is too good to be true! No guy this good looking is EVER attracted to me!"

It was, lol. We stopped talking shortly after; either he ghosted me or realized I wasn't his type, who knows.

Years later, don't ask me why, but I did a reverse image search on that image he sent me? It was a google image :|
I was too young and stupid at the time to even think of doing that, or I would have known then. Oh well, lesson learned. Nowadays if anyone sends me their picture, I do a search on it.

Yeah but I wasn’t into him or dating or or whatever
He was a gamer and we used to play and I thought he was cute but I was not I retested in him We would just joke around and say dumb stuff

Then one day I was on another website and I saw his photo and I was like omg! He’s here too! What
So I went to say hi lol and i was like what are you doing here you loser! Lol and it was a guy from another country and he had more photos that I had never seen and I was like what the heck?

So I asked him is this you or did you steal the photos from the other guy? And it was just really weird, so then I searched it on google and I found even more profiles with these same photos lol

So I went to the gaming website and I told him! Hey I saw you on other websites lol and then he deleted his profile and disappeared but I knew him for like 4 years.

No i am very careful and most of the time I am older than them. I can tell when something is off. However nowadays one has to be careful because quarantine has done some of us wrong🤣. Me included i was 125 in feb i put on some weight and I am not happy. My little nephew who is 26 looked like a skeleton and now he is hot like seriously hot. He literally put on good 15 pounds of solid muscle😳❤❤❤❤

I've never been catfished, because I would never trust anyone online. Even if someone is who they say they are, they'd never be able to earn my trust, because I don't know them in person. There's people who have tried to catfish me, but they didn't realize I trust no one online. They were naive to assume I trusted them, so they trusted me to trust in them, whixh was foolish of them 🙄😂

Not really.. I was once catfished for real (totally different man showed up at our date), but by a pretty average looking man. It was apparently pictures of his friend :S..
I have also chatted with some where it seemed too good to be true and I have been sceptical but just decided to meet early to check, and then they surely did ghost me or they came up with a stupid excuse.

One time in this dating site called OkCupid. I used to go on there a couple years ago and I found this really hot guy there and we talked a lot. He seemed like a great person but of course I wanted to see him in person. It WAS him, but he was much heavier than his picture. He was also like my own height which was a turn off as well.

No I have not. It’s hard to pull that over on me. They usually give themselves away without even knowing it and just play along if I’m bored to see how far they will go. But I gotta say... catfish play defense then defensive linemen. It’s amazing.
