Have you ever been catfished on a date?

not in terms of a date.
When I moved to London, I joined a Facebook group for people to meet others in London. It’s people just talking amongst each other and making plans to meet. Kinda like gag. Anyways, I talked to this one particular person on there almost everyday for several months. There was a social meetup that took place to which we were both able to attend and meet. She definitely didn’t look like her photos. I’m sure it was her but definitely not 29 at the time like she claimed. I can say her photoshop skills were impeccable.
I thought to catfish is, if you are texting with a fake person that asks you for money at a point. Mostly from Nigeria or even other countries too. They use pics of good looking men or women and when they "want to meet" there is a prob and you have to send money for different reasons. Flight or something else. In Germany, they often use pics of military men eg. to catfish women who are looking for love.
I actually have multiple times now
Once it turned out to be a trans woman and not a cis woman I met at a rave. A different time it was a totally different girl than the pics which was weird.
A few times the pics were Old or misleading like the girl was 50 pounds bigger than her pics.
Just once she was much heavier then her photos but that was before video chats so nobody should get catfished in 2023 and beyond.

Never. All my dating g was done thebold fashioned way. You saw somebody you might want to date, introduced yourself, found out if they were single and asked them on a date. Never dated anyone from an online app. Everything was done in person. No surprises.
Never catfished , but I'm sure some photo enhancement here and there , I have this one girlfriend , and she has a stunning body , but seriously the photos she uses online , yes its her -- but its also not remotely her , if that makes sense.
Nah, I'm pretty good at seeing through a woman's lies. Once you've done enough online dating you spot the tricks women use. Luckily I've spotted the inconsistencies in her stories before we ever met. And if a woman starts with lies you know it's not going to get any better from there. So you learn to cut bait and get away.
Many times in early online dating. A lot heavier or older in person. Luckily Instagram sharing or adding more photos/videos to the apps has helped this.
Kinda he lied about his height. Which I really didn't care it was just a weird thing to lie about. He said he was 5'9 and actually 5'5
Not Sure But Caught many Ones and Scammers on Date Sites and FB. xxoo
The closest would be a lady I dated who lied about her age, claiming to be younger than she was. I didn't care about the age but I did about the lying.
Not in meet up scenarios, but I have been catfished a decent amount online, mostly by guys pretending to be women.. Although, the fact that you actually sat and did the date.. Lmao.. Damn..
if the person ending up vastly less attractive or more obese than in the picture, then yes. multiple times.
"Old pic" isn't that the go-to. No, never been catfished but I do not move in social circles where that occurs, at least it would be an incredibly rare instance.
I’ve been catfished when I was on dating apps not on an actual date.
Sorry, but I lol’d 😂 I’m sorry you had to go through that just for him to say that.
Hi
Once yes
She didn't look like she did in her pictures, but we ended up dating for 6 months anyway 😅
Yes I have. Without a single thought, I blocked her without hearing her out because she’s a liar
Though I was gonna meet a woman in the picture turns out to be the guy in the picture I just walked out knowing the fact I’m gay woman.
Technically, yeah. She was still a girl, only, she was using a family member, instead. That's why I don't do online dating anymore
thats why you should video chat with someone before you meet the irl.
Actually yes, haha my roomate and I both catfished eachother on vacation - good times
That's fucked up!
No, I haven't been catfished
I have been catfished plenty of times on dating apps; but none of them led to an actual date.
