Holding hands during prom?

Prom is coming up this Sunday and I was wondering if I wasn't in a relationship with my date and don't want a relationship with anyone should I hold hands with her during the dance? It seems like I should, but I don't to give the wrong signals.

You should slow dance with her and be a good date but holding her hand would tell her you want a relationship. Think of how much fun you have on 1st dates without holding the persons hand yet. have fun at prom, hope this helps!
