Flirting is a game, teasing & playful. Most relationships have healthy doses of flirting, especially in the early stages as the couple gets to know one another (& hopefully later as well). Flirting can by used to gain more information about each participant's personality.

Seduction is about manipulation by person (s), typically of someone younger, more inexperienced, & /or reluctant. Seduction frequently has sinister connotations because of the power imbalance in the relationship, and the singularly sexual motivations of the controlling party.

I very openly flirt with a lot of the married women that I work with, because they are CONSTANTLY BITCHING about their husbands, and how they don't notice anything, or care, or on and on!!
I flirt, just to make them smile! I like when they know I am looking, but they also know me, and know I would NEVER, EVER do anything with them, because they are married!!
But they LOVE the attention, and they love the little things I say, even though I could get into HUGE TROUBLE with HR for "inappropriate" things!!
I flirt, and tease them, and make them smile, but I would never kiss, or do anything more than just a friendly hug, if she initiated that!

They're the same? I can't tell the difference that much. But I think flirting is more relaxed than seduction. Seduction is more intense. If someone wants to seduce someone, they would wear revealing clothing and there's more touching. Flirting can be through words and body language. And if the person doesn't reciprocate I guess they move on, whereas seduction is going for your prey kind of thing.

    Hmm hard one.

okay I can flirt with friends, I can flirt with a girl I’m interested in and simply keep it as flirting.
Now seduction, I honestly don’t know when I simply change from flirt mode to Hunter prey mode.

I think with seduction you have processed all the signals received from the other person and your brain now ups a gear to develop and attack plan - Seduction plan.
    other than that fuck knows

Maybe same thing just different level?

I dont know. I dont feel like I've ever "seduced" anyone. Even with girls who I hooked up with randomly. Like, it always felt like she wanted me back and i didn't have to do some special seduction techniques to turn a no into a yes.

Flirting is just innocent fun like smiling, small discreet touch in areas that are not sexual, lots of eye contact, etc. Whereas seduction is literally enticing someone using sexual appeal. It can still include eye contact, but in a more sexual manner. obviously the touch would be in places that turn you on.

'Flirting' is "I find you attractive"
'Seduction' is "Action speaks LOUDER than empty words!"
The 'bullshit' STOPS , where / when the clothing drops~

Where do you draw the line between flirting and seduction?

I'm a natural flirt, so I do it without realizing I'm doing it... But in terms of seduction, I do believe that it refers to temptation in a bad way. Basically if someone is seducing you, they are actively trying to entice you to do something stupid, if not wrong in some way, and or have sex with them. Flirting is fun and witty and usually natural, seduction is not...

I don't think lines can be drawn here because flirting is done with the intention of eventually seducing the person so the final objective is same.

Hence unless it is flirting of stand alone type or flirting for fun or harmless flirting type any other type of flirting will eventually proceed towards seduction.

Therefore I am sure lines cannot be drawn here.

It's a good question! 🤔 Maybe when it's used to make a person do something they would not normally do, that's seduction

Seduction is defined as the action of seducing someone.

Flirting is defined as behave as though attracted to or trying to attract someone, but for amusement rather than with serious intentions.

Two very different things. I state this because there are far too many people out there who thinks flirting is an act of adultery or cheating. They are wrong. If they can not know the difference then they shouldn't be dating.

    Escalation and baseline intent.

There's flirting for fun and then there's flirting to have sex. All seduction is flirting but not all flirting is seduction.

Funny question. Others flirt with you, but no one can seduce you unless you allow it. You're the one who can flirt back and leave it at that, or accept what you perceive as an invitation to go further.

Well, I sometimes flirt with people, but I don't ever try to seduce anyone. I think it's unethical, because I have an unfair advantage. Because I'm just too damn sexy.
