White guys interested in black girls?

I have been always attracted to guys ever since I was younger and never put a race on who I was attracted to because he didn't matter to me. But as I got older I find myself more attracted to white guys(p.s. I am black). I go to a predominantly white school, I just have trouble dating guys at my school. Are some white guys afraid to date black girls or do they not no how to approach them? Or it could be the age of the guy or just my school haha.. But I've dated a white guy who didn't go to my school for 2 years and I also went on a date with two other guys. But I want to hear white guys honest opinion about this subject.

We always talk about Black women and how they can’t date White men. Well, there are those women that only date White men. I remember a pal of mine telling me once that she will never get married to Black man. And even as kids, when playing make believe, she was always married to a White guy.

The reason for women like her who only date white men may be very similar to the reasons why most Black women only date Black men … attraction. Some also feel that Black men treat them better than any other man ever could, and they feel that they’d rather have what they know instead of experimenting with what they don’t know.

Some Black women are just not physically attracted to Black men. And as much as parents usually like hooking us up with people of our own race, well it reaches a time when you have to be honest with yourself. Imagine my pal for example: As a child, her first crush was Adam Sandler, then as she got older, she fell in love with Mel Gibson. This doesn’t mean that Black men aren’t handsome – they are just not her type.

Some also feel that White men (not ALL but many) find black women to be remarkable in every sense of the word; hence Black women tend to gravitate towards those affections. Much as her husband treats her better than any man ever had, one lady admits that she has been with some White men that disgusted her with their behaviors. But she says that generally, older White men and very mature on a broader level than with Black men on many levels.

Some are just wildly turned on by the differences … skin color, hair, being raised in different cultures, music, foods … the list is endless. Its all about the desire for the mysterious and unknown. And for some, its just pure love because there are those that forget that we are ‘black’ and ‘white’ and just coincidentally happened to fall in love with a White guys.

One thing we all have to remember is that not every White man is a Black woman’s dream. It all depends on the individual … good and bad comes in all colors.

With that said, the generic phrase – ‘It should be about love and not color’ – is cute. But in this case, not entirely truthful. Its not only about love. Much as love gets cultivated eventually, there is physical attraction and a declaration to date only one race. Racist or preference?

Its defiantly a preference. When I was younger while all my friends were into b2k and little bowow. I was busy into Justin Timberlake and Backstreet Boys. I do think my family on my moms side doesn't agree with the opposite race because the way they grew up. But were that family that doesn't care. My brother is into Asian girls and I'm really into anyone but I am more attracted to white guys. I've dated Puerto Rican guys, Mexican, Black, and White guys. Its the personality that attracts me next.

if you've already dated white guys, what's the question for? yes, white guys are interested in black girls. however, it seems as if they're not as upfront about it as black guys are. I noticed that when I get close with my white guy friends, I can tell whether they're interested in me or not and they usually let me know. just be yourself and you'll attract the right guy.

The question is lead toward more is it the maturity level of the guy or are they afraid of what people think or just scared of rejection from black girls. I just want to see others opinion..

I think preference because she didn't say she only likes whites guys she just asked a question about them, She could be like me and just be physically attracted to light to white skinned type of male. I'm attracted to white guys and I'm a black female. I can relate in a way because where I ork and every where I go I'm just surrounded by white guys. Some of them are tall and sexy! ;here is this cute married coupled stationed where I'm at he's a white guy and she's a black female. Lucky her! :)

But what I've done in the past is slowly introducde myself by saying hey etc. Try sitting next to them and just ask about there work or something. Before you know it you'll be right on it ^^

When it all comes right down to it, like attracts like. And I cannot speak for all white guys, or even white guys in general. But from what I've seen, it's a great deal on how you look, and on how you act. The few black women I've seen with white men have the skin of a black woman but have internalized Caucasian ways. Not to say we should bash her for not loving Tyler Perry movies, fried chicken, and Kool-Aid. But I rarely see a black woman who is in the esscense of the word a 'black' individual, with a white man. Either that or a white man has internalized black ways. Then you have the polar opposites that make sweet harmony. Even then, I believe this is a question better answered by whom was asked, a white male. But a little bit of another brown sistas input wouldn't hurt.

Well to the way the black girl acts.. I appear black but you don't know that personas background either because I did not grow up on those foods because both of my parents are from the carribbean. So we do have to remember the background of that person. Because I hate fried chicken ya ya surprising but I love me so jerk chicken haha

Oh, completely agree with you there. Background has a lot to do with it. I was born in St. Louis. So my take on what a 'black woman' is would be completely different, if not contrasting slightly. && Jerk chicken huh? Never heard of it. Sounds yummy. :P

its Jamaican.. Ya I'm from chicago and there are so many different ranges of black girls and white guys its just the suburbs I think its hard to find someone that interested in black girls.

Living in a suburban part of St. Louis, I know how you feel. It feels like white guys just aren't interested, and I wouldn't want to embarass myself trying. Good thing my dark chocolate african kings always stay a fav in my heart.

I like girls of all races, but I very rarely ask a women out (any women). I often try to look for signs a girl is attracted to me although I am quite stupid at that. But as for dating a girl of another race I would need pretty obvious signs cause I wouldn't want to approach her and have her tell me she doesn't like white guys that would make me feel really weird lol.

If I thought she was attractive, intelligent, sweet/kind, all of that other stuff I look for in girls, yes I would date her. I'm interested in some and not so much in others.

However, when I was a bit younger, it didn't cross my mind that some black girls were attracted to white guys, to be honest, so I never pursued any.

nothing wrong with liking white guys. we all have our preferences. some people might call it racist, but those are the people that don't understand what you mean by "like" meaning in a physically attracted sort of way. not as a person.
