As to avoid misunderstandings, let's give the definition - Erotomania is when you think someone is in love with you but they're not. It may be a person you've never met. They might even be famous, like a politician or an actor. You can be so sure of this love that you think you're in a relationship with this person, or that stalking them means you are ''dating'' them.
Erotomania is a rare mental health condition that happens when someone is fixated on the idea that another person is intensely in love with them. The other person may be a celebrity, wealthy, or of a high social position. The condition is also known as De Clérambault's syndrome.

Couples counseling. Yeah you're not a real couple, but they don't know that. So indulge it a little. Go to couples counseling and let the doctor talk to them about their issues and let them think at the same time that you are in this too. You will give them what they want enough to stay calm but also help them with working their issues out in a safe setting where the doctor can evaluate and determine how the individual will respond to things

I guess you could get the police involved if it goes to far but yes would be very disconcerting I would perhaps feel a little sorry for them but enough to put up with being stalked and harrassed
