Why does a guy avoid me after rejecting me?

I have a coworker that rejected me one year ago, now he arranges his schedule to not work with me, why?

The exact same thing happened to me, this guy rejected me and it took him one year to at least say hi, I never figured exactly why he avoided me but in conclusion he was prob just really awkward and acted immature about it. That may be your case and if so don't worry about it he has some growing up to do. As another comment said it's usually the rejected that feel awkward not the rejector, so he is just being a coward.

Yeah, I always thought he was a responsible, honest, nice man, but I ignored his coward character because I was so in love with him. I wonder if he's such a coward that he'd rather not admit his love to me just to preserve his manhood? I mean I wonder what's in his head. Cowardness or cowardness + dislike. Lol

I know what you mean! The guy I mentioned and this guy sound like the same person lol Cowards will always be cowards, it's best to just leave them and their weird behavior!

He's very shy when he first worked here, and he's always been quiet and sometimes witty. He even drove me home one day after work, and I gave him many hints that I was interested in him such as giving little gifts, and he gave me something back too. But then suddenly he shunned me off after work when I wanted to talk to him. And that's how things became awkward lol.

The shy factor in him definitely adds to him becoming awkward, don't worry maybe one day he'll mature and realize he was being silly!

he might think its awkward for you after he rejected you. he might think every time you look at him, you think about how he turned you down and feel uncomfortable.

or at least that's what I would think.

generally tho, the rejected would be the one avoiding the rejector.

I remember when he emailed me that he doesn't love me but he mentioned that if I wanted to talk to him he can arrange a meeting with me, but I just didn't reply his email ever since. But then he's avoiding me, I wonder how he truly feels inside. Or I'm just thinking too much.

yes I do, but I act very rationally when I work with him. I feel uncomfortable when I see him. But what shocks me more is that if he's always been cold towards me, why does he still feel "affected" by my presence.

haha thank you. you could just email him again, ask him how he really feels, tell him its OK if he doesn't like you, but you want to know why he's acting the way he is.

over email, he'll be more open to telling you the truth, since he doesn't have to see your face or hear your tone of voice, he won't be as afraid.

I'd like to, but he gave me his an old email account that he barely uses, he didn't contact me through his regular email account. I believe he really doesn't want to have anything to do with me. Hence, it's somewhat pointless to ask how he really feels since he already told me he isn't interested. I should just get over it and not be affected by his actions. Thanks for waking me up. I'm still hurt and decided to ask others for advice hehe.

people act crazy & say little. they purposefully speak ambiguously, to be misunderstood. its a control game of manipulation. that's why people thin about what they mean. she just gave you contradictory behavior . if you don't have an answer that's fine, but why turn it into a personal/ universal pathology. that has to project out to people you never met. because they have a vagina.

btw, it does not matter if you say you hate sexist people. pre judging someone based on gender, is sexist. by definition.

Thank you. That's why I acted very rationally when I work with him, nothing personal just professional. It's very hard though to act as if nothing happened. But if he really thinks he's still leading me on, I believe that he's immature, because I didn't do anything ever since he clearly told me that he doesn't love me.
