Why guy is ingnoring me when he is the one who rejected me?

You may have answered your own question. You said you were best friends. You also say that he rejected you which would mean that you wanted to take the friendship to another level and he didn't. That often ruins friendships because things get awkward. Now that they are and this guy had to reject his best friend he is trying to distance himself because he doesn't want those awkward moments. All you can do is hope that over time things settle and maybe go back to normal but I wouldn't count on that. That is why it is so dangerous to try to take a friendship and turn it into a relationship. It can ruin things.

Hate is such a strong word. I would be more inclined to say he is trying to avoid awkwardness. I would give it some time before writing it off as hating you.

Because he´s over you. If a guy ends a relationship with a woman then the past is the past meaning the time where they´re friends is over, too. It´s his way of showing you that he´s no longer interested in being in contact with you.
