Why do blonde girls get more attention?

I'm a natural blonde. But blonde hair darkens when you get older so I had dirty blonde hair and started highlighting it, put it still looked natural. The hair looked so much damaged with lighter hair and I was so tired of every other girl coloring their hair blonde so I wanted to change. Last week I colored my hair dark brown like sophia bush/megan fox. In the summer I have a lot of freckles and easily get a tan, but now in the winter I'm pretty pale. I've gotten a lot of compliments on my hair, it looks healthier and actually more natural even though I'm natural blonde. What I've reacted to though is that I get far less attention on the street. Usually I have a lot of guys stare at me and smiling at me when I go out, not so much anymore. It doesn't really bother me because I don't want guys to like me for my hair color, I'm just wondering, Why are guys so obsessed with blondes? And is pale and dark hair a turn off?

Through my extensive scholarly research of hot women I have come to a very definite, scientific, conclusion of hair types for you. This of course has nothing to do with the actual quality of the human being, which is far more important as I'm sure you recognize. This observation is merely objective.

I have noticed that female hottness, in regards to hair color, can be quantified and qualified.

#1. The largest majority of attractive females are blond. This could be the reason for the stereotype that blonds get for being the "preferred" hot girl. Generally speaking of course.

#2. The quantity of attractive brunettes are less, however the quality of there hottness, in general, seems to be of greater caliber; possibly due to their higher scarcity.

#3. Even more rare than this is the attractive red head. We almost never see red heads that are attractive. When we do, however, they are most certainly reserved as having the highest quality of hottness. This based off the same economic theory of scarcity. "The rarer the bird, the finer the prize"

Blondes get more attention for a verity of reasons. Maybe because they stand out more (light color), or maybe for the stereotype that they are more fun and outgoing. I think, when we see blondes we are almost conditioned to become more excited (even if they are not attractive). I don't think that the attention blondes get are necessarily because people find them the "hottest".

Skin tone I think can work the same way. The quantity of attractive tanned women is far higher than the quantity of attractive women with pale skin. However, being that most red heads have pale skin, I would argue that the quality is inverse to it's quantity; once again based on the theory of scarcity.

Actually statistically speaking brunettes have more hot women because there are more and majority of women have brunette hair.

I like girls who are born with blonde or brown hair, so if your looking good n' slim I'll even on purpose not hiding it look and stare, if that helps. I don't understand why blondes get a lot of attention but I could care less the hair color. If your good looking and slim I'll still look regardless of hair color.

if you have fair skin like me, youn need to stay in the blonde / red category---or lighter brown ... dark brown and black looks good if you have a darker skin tone ...if you don't - you'll look like elvira ...Plus you said yourself when you were blonde you got more attention ...I have had every color ,and men react much nicer to blonde--remember --blonde hair is a priveledge-- not all can pull it off---so the ones that can't pull off the beautiful blonde tresses, will knock blonde haired women , "claiming" it looks cheap etc, --when in REALITY they are just mad they thay can't "pull off blonde hair , because of darker skin tones, or really dark eyes , etc...So , naturally they will be mad ...OH WELL WOMEN--ONLY SOME OF US CAN BE BLONDE...

My husband loves brunettes, the darker the better! I had actually wanted to dye my hair darker for a while; it is now pitch black and my husband loves it. I've also noticed a lot of other guys glancing my way! I think it just has to do with your face, makeup, how you dress, etc. Regardless, whatever you've got, rock it! If you have a lot of confidence, people will notice. :) I admire blondes for being able to pull off what I never will be able to, but life is not a competition. You have to make the most of what you've got/have achieved through dying! I'm sure you look beautiful. :)

Blame Pamela Anderson! But Carmen electra is way prettier! haha. Not all guys go for blondes. I bet guys are noticing you, but you just haven't noticed. I think that girls with dark hair are pretty. It doesn't necessarily matter what hair color guys tend to go for. what matters is how your look works for you. And by the sounds of it your hair looks nice. Don't worry about guys and blondes! The guys will come to you!

I don't think guys are obsessed with blondes. I think blones are more easy to approachable and brunettes seem intimidating.
