I'm the only straight girl in my friendgroup.
My bestfriend frequently comments to my pics like "with all due respect but what a hottie!" (which I think it's normal) but also when I tell her about my awful love life she says stuff like "you're so attractive, I can't see why guys treat you like that" and "if I was a guy I would definitely ask you out" and I don't know if she was joking but we were playing "electric love" which went viral on tiktok because of the "kiss your bestfriend" trend and she actually got really close to me and I don't know if she was just fooling around. Honestly I don't know if she's being flirty or trying to boost my self-esteem or something.
And then there's this other friend who touches me a lot (grabs my wrists, pull me close), when I say something smart in class she says "damn I could kiss you right now" and when questioned about it she says "yeah but she's straight" and says stuff like "oh my god you know Ashley? yeah she thought you were into me can you believe it?".
I know that I ironically or unknowingly act pretty flirty and because of that a lot of people doubt I'm actually straight and other friends even asked me if I was into someone in our friendgroup before. I'm very stupid when it comes to that type of thing so I don't really know if they're joking, if that's just normal behavior in friendships, if they're just mirroring my vibe... What do you think?
