How do you respond to a compliment?

What do you do when you receive a compliment from your crush, or from any other person?
Feel free to explain your choice.

Asking because this guy is praising me all the time for everything I do, face to face or over text, one-on-one or in front of multiple people, which is embarassing. I usually say nothing or jokingly brush it off. Is this rude? I would like to return the compliments because he's super nice but I'm afraid it might make other people unconfortable.

I just say Thanks. Sometimes ill return the compliment if it applies to them as well. Compliments make me feel awkward and embarrassed sometimes especially when they keep doing it.

I am able to take compliments from a woman I want to be with. However, when anyone else gives me a compliment I do not process them well.
