Trending & News I used to be terrible at receiving compliments when I was younger. I'd always deny them. If someone told me I was attractive, I'd say "No, you're just being nice." If someone told me I was smart, I'd say "Clearly not, otherwise I wouldn't be where I am." If someone said I was talented, I'd say "There are people way more talented than me."
Now, even if I don't believe their compliment, I just say "Thank you. I appreciate that." And I try to smile with it.
It's been a life process.
I read it incorrectly somehow lol.
Well I have an encouraging personality, so I like rooting for people who are awkward. I'd smile and tell them thank you. I'd also probably try to crack a joke to help loosen them up.
Always accept compliments - even the awkward ones - with grace and tact. E. g.:
Guy goes on a blind date and the girl weighs 300 lbs. They are out dancing and he says, "You know, for a fat girl, you sure don't sweat much!" She should reply. . . "I'm glad you think so highly of me."
Depends if I’m into the person. If I am, I act like they just said the most wonderful thing in the world. If I’m not, I smile and laugh politely and then gently detach myself from the conversation.
I usually go the humor route. That is sorta my personality.

Thanks and try to move on. It depends on what the complement is though and who said it. Some context matters.
Oh. OK well thank you ok so i really have to get going now call if you need anything...
Hello T mobile yes would like to change my phone number lol
I generally give a sarcastic response and then ignore any further reference to it
Give an equally awkward "thank you", I guess.
I use humor to defuse the situation. Or give them a punch in the face.
Probably turn it right back around on them with a 'thanks, I like your ________ too" and fill it in with something that's not really actually a compliment
I would honestly just say thank you and keep moving forward.
I pretend that I didn't hear it.
I tend to go towards humor
I love you too ❤️
Babe I love you aaaaaaah 😘
What's an example of an awkward compliment?
So he's kinda desperate because he knows he's in trouble
Yep, plenty of guys who don't know
‘Cool’
Depends on who said what.
I just ignore it.
Depends on the awkwardness.
