Should I send him a friend request or would it be creepy?

I saw this guy in my University 3 years ago. We never actually spoke but our simple interactions of saying “hello” or “good morning” was pleasant. I had a small crush on him cause he seemed like a nice guy. Unfortunately the pandemic hit and I haven’t seen him in 2 years. I only knew his first name lol, but he recently came under my friend suggestions on Facebook.
I am thinking about sending him a request but I’m not sure if it’ll come across as weird? Do guys think that’s weird? I don’t plan on making a move or anything, I don’t even know if he’s single lol. I’m so nervous so any advice will be helpful, thank you!

Send the friend request, you have nothing to lose! You might find he'll message you first, or, you can send him a message, but wait a couple of days after's accepted your request.

@chris_987 It gives the guy an opportunity to send her a message before she does, and will stop her from coming across as though she's 'chasing' him or looking overly too keen which can sometimes frighten someone

It doesn't work that way with guys. If anything she'll just come off as too needy and guys will just use her for sex. Either way her making the first move won't scare off a guy. It will only determine how much work he has to do. And she also has to look attractive or non of this would even matter

Most girls want commitment, cause of pregnancy. Guys don't feel that way because sex don't really have a cost for us

You can send him a friend request in my opinion. Then after he accepts it, say hi to him and ask if he remembers you, or say something else that you want to say to him.

If he likes you, he'll be really happy that you contacted him. If he doesn't then he just probably won't accept your request.

I think you're making this a bigger deal than it really is. If you want to friend him do, but don't get too invested in a guy you barely know.
